Diaper Bank of the Carolinas is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was established in 2006. Our mission is to provide diapers for children in the community who would not otherwise receive them and our vision is to be the premier provider of diapers for children in the Carolinas. Our organization consists of a small group of women who CARE about the children of our community.

We are currently funded through private/personal donations and our goal is to help young parents in need keep their babies in clean diapers. We have Diaper Drives throughout the year and an annual luncheon fundraiser in the spring of the year.

We provide diapers to agencies assisting low income families as well as individual families. We have helped the following agencies: Emergency Relief located at the Center for Community Services, Nurse Family Partnerships, Safe Families, Safe Harbor, Child’s Haven, Family Effect, SHARE, United Ministries, Pendleton Place and Little Steps.

Babies need clean diapers and many community assisted programs do not provide diapers to young mothers in need. Babies are able to master developmental milestones if learning takes place in a comfortable, safe and healthy environment. Studies reveal that 1 in 3 mothers struggle daily to provide diapers for their babies. It has been shown that Diaper Banks are making a remarkable difference in the lives of many by collecting, storing and distributing free diapers to mothers in need. Like ours, most diaper banks were started by individuals like us who discovered that less fortunate mothers in their communities did not have enough diapers. We want to make a difference and be a resource in the lives of mothers in the Carolinas.
